Voice of the Network

What we do at Alcatel-Lucent changes the world around us. Technologies that did not exist in the public domain ten years ago are now at the centre of our everyday lives. How can you capture the way in which our technology translates to millions of interactions, every day, all over the world.

This year, we have asked Douglas Coupland, writer and artist, together with the musician Paul Humphreys, to bring the data that represents network usage to life through an audio visual installation. Together they have responded by creating 'Electric Ikebana', an artwork that captures the spirit of innovation that lies at the heart of our company.
